When it comes to street style, Sacramento knows how to throw down. All sorts of stylish folks turned out and up for last week's premiere of Bill Cunningham New York, now playing at the Crest. To celebrate the grand-pappy of all street style photography, this documentary of Bill Cunningham brought out a friendly and smart looking crowd.

Street Style SACRAMENTO: Best Street Style in the Under 4 feet tall catagory

I wish I looked this cute when I was her age. I think at my time, I was wearing a two piece Body Glove spandex outfit, and cramming multi-color laces into my LA Gears.

This young youngster is the best dressed under 4 feet tall in Sacramento .

I see this butterfly float the streets of midtown with her crazy stylish parents.

She gets to wear all of her mom's old school dresses from her childhood, and this newly thrifted Gymboree dress from Crimson and Clover.

I will walk the streets of midtown with a net on my back, waiting to capture a picture of her next  adorable dress.

Sacramento Street Style at the Verge

Since the premiere of Bill Cunningham New York is a fundraiser for the Verge Center of the Arts, I thought I'd swing by the Verge and capture some authentic street style as worn by these colorful Sacramento-based artists.

Bill Cunningham New York Coming Soon to the Crest

Opening this Friday at the Crest, is an exclusive Sacramento engagement of the acclaimed documentary, Bill Cunningham New York. Running from April 22nd through Thursday April 28th at the Crest, Bill Cunningham New York is the latest film in the Verge Center for the Arts quarterly screening at the Crest. 

The opening night, which benefits the Verge Center for the Arts, begins with a Trunk Show in the Crest lobby featuring local boutiques and designers, including the the beloved Crimson & Clover, Bows and Arrows, Modaspia, Thunderhorse Vintage and Babyfloss. Along with the fun of shopping vintage and local designers,  as well as the premiere screening of Bill Cunningham New York, there will be a post-screening panel discussion with fashion bloggers, including Lorena Beightler of Sac Cycle Chic, Kari Shipman of Juniper James,and the two founders of Street Style SACRAMENTO, Bella Q of the Citizen Rosebud, and Kerry Dolan.

The Trunk Show begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Crest Theatre lobby. The film begins at 8 p.m. in the Crest's main theatre, followed immediately by the panel discussion. Tickets are $15 general, and $12 for seniors and student. Advance tickets go on sale Friday, April 1st at the Crest Theatre Box Office, Phono Select, and tickets.com

A colorful beauty in a sea of suits, Daphne's bright green frames were the first thing that our Street Style SACRAMENTO photographer, Kerry Dolan hooked.The cheerful pattern mixing make this office worker a stylish stand out, proving that a colorful personality can work from 9-5.
