Burgandy beanie, studded leather jacket, leopard printed maxi skirt, and a bitchin' pair of Jeffery Campbell Lita platform shoes in black leather is what makes this kitten to stand out in the concrete jungle.

| It's a Man's Man's Man's World: Sophia Makes the Most of Men's Wear in Midtown Sacramento |
Sophia was recently spotted thrifting in midtown in head-to-toe menswear.
The man’s chapeau, worn at the back, suspenders and wingtip shoes paired with the skinny jeans keeps her look feminine while borrowing from the boys.

Street Style SACRAMENTO: Describe your personal style?
Sophia: My personal style is 1950’s businessman. Always pulled together (and looking sharp, might I add).
Street Style SACRAMENTO: Where do you find your inspiration?
Sophia: My dad, for sure, and I really admire the style of musician Janelle Monae. I love her bow ties.

Global Accents
This Sacramento lovely looks California casual in her pretty-in-pink shirt with the rolled up sleeves, and high waisted black shorts ensemble. What makes the look worth a second glance are her color saturated reddish-brown velvety oxfords and her imported shoulder bag. The chili colored bag with the brightly colored embroidered elephant of yellow and turquoise adds enough spice to heat up the outfit.

Street Style: Animal Attraction
This Sacramento beauty displays two hot trends while remaining coolly original: feathered embellishment and animal print. For a while now, feathered ear-rings have been flying off the jewelry shelves and onto young girl's ears, and always trending leopard print has recently been leaping into nearly everybody's closet this season. Taking it to the next level, this lovely is looking positively purr-fect in her animal print dyed short hair cut, feathered earrings and lace top, looking every bit Queen of the concrete jungle.

Red Hot: Idalia
![]() |
| Where there's smoke there's fire: Idalia is smokin' in her red hot tee. |
This sometimes Sacramento resident always looks cool even when red ha-ha-hawt. The Los Angeles based homeslice knows how to throw down serious street style. She manages to pull off a dolled-up look in her casual fire-engine red jersey knit tee that's been cut into a tank, layered over a candy pink camisole, and paired with a pair of thrifted cotton culottes. The adorable vintage red canvas shoes finish the outfit for a California look that is muy caliente.

Street Style: Zara , the magnificent
Zara. The most artistic, brilliant teen to stroll the streets of Midtown Sacramento. She was outside of Magpie Cafe enjoying lunch with her mom, Amy. She recently attended the Verge Center for the Arts rummage sale. For 5 bucks, she scooped up a bag full of clothes. This vibrant floral beauty quickly became her favorite. I see her quite often , and I never cease to tell her how amazing she is. Love her big time.

Squash Blossom
She was a good 10 feet away from me , and I zeroed on on that ring of hers. I think I froze, feet stuck to the floor and mumbled to my friend how much I adored it. As she got closer, it just got better. Long black dress, brown roughed up Frye boots, silver bangles, and the damn bag that broke my heart.
The rings was found at one of many trading posts in the South West, and she informed me that the glorious , fringed perfectness was bought for practically pennies at an Antique Store.
I felt bad that I was going to disturb her lunch, but I just had to talk to her! I found out that she is owner and operator of Squash Blossom Vintage from Austin Texas. She is out here visiting family , and going to work the Second Sunday Antique Fair. She crazy beautiful and super cool.

On the Street: Ronda Lee
Name: Ronda Lee
Age: 21
Fashion Muse: Anne Tindall
Occupation: Student. Art Studies. What drew my eye to this gingered beauty was the crafted use of color- the way her hair and her dress went together and the perfect pop of moss green contrasting the whole look in a delicious dripping of suede and fringe. She loves to dress up, preferring big, bright and bold colors and prints.

Zach the Knife

| Sacramento's Sharpest Dresser: Zach the Knife |
Meet the best dressed man in Sacramento.
Zach's style is so sharp it cuts, well, like a knife.
This sweet suit was scored from a thrift shop- it fit him perfectly and the cuffed hem is nothing short of marvelous. The nice dandy details added- the pink dotted tie, crisp white pocket square, and polished cuff links place Zack's sartorial savvy on the cutting edge.

It Girl, Electric
![]() |
| Sara G is going places. |
Some girls just have "it." Sara Geher seems to have "it" in spades. This 24 year-old beauty from Roseville was one of the models for the recent Velo and Vintage Fashion show. And here she is looking electric in her casual model off-duty attire. Looking smart in her specs, pearls and simple off-shoulder T-shirt, Sara had plenty of oomph to transport her. I was particularly jolted by her textured lace tights and electric blue suede skimmers.

| Street Style SACRAMENTO: Best Street Style in the Under 4 feet tall catagory |
I wish I looked this cute when I was her age. I think at my time, I was wearing a two piece Body Glove spandex outfit, and cramming multi-color laces into my LA Gears.
This young youngster is the best dressed under 4 feet tall in Sacramento .
I see this butterfly float the streets of midtown with her crazy stylish parents.
She gets to wear all of her mom's old school dresses from her childhood, and this newly thrifted Gymboree dress from Crimson and Clover.
I will walk the streets of midtown with a net on my back, waiting to capture a picture of her next adorable dress.
